If you're life is FULL and you're teetering on the brink of overwhelm, exhaustion, and stress on any given week, you're likely not making enough space for yourself in your own life.
It is so easy to get caught up in what's right in front of our face. Our kids, our work, society, all the endless external responsibilities and demands. It never ends.
If you're used to living your life in only this reality, then it'd be impossible NOT to be stressed and exhausted over time - it's a totally normal reaction to the chaos of this world.
My mission is to help you re-connect with a deeper layer of reality. A layer where you'll find yourself again. Where you'll connect with your Intuition and Divine Wisdom. remember who you Truly are. Where you'll remember you're interconnected with every living thing on this planet. Where you can hear your heart louder than normal.
Below are 5 ways you can create sacred space in your life, which will allow you to crack open the door into a deeper layer of existence, one which fuels you endlessly, one which brings magic and meaning into your life:
.1 Sacred Rise: start a morning routine that is centered around journaling (let what's annoying you out, ask questions, write out what your grateful for, whatever you are lead to write) and pulling cards from your favourite card deck. Light a candle, burn incense, sit and just breath deeply. 15 minutes would be great, longer if your life allows. Quietly connecting with yourself each day or regularly through the week will change the way you show up in the rest of your life. This coming month in the Wellspring Goddess Collective we are focusing on Sacred Space and how to carve it out, for more information on this membership click here . There will also be a 'how to' video on creating a Sacred Rise morning routine.
.2 Meditation: 15 to 30 minutes of meditation, regularly over the course of a week - notice I didn't say it has to be every day! Meditation connects you with your Soul, it's a fresh dip in a cool lake on a hot summer's day - you'll come out of it feeling refreshed, inspired, and grounded. Quieting the mind, it key in today's world where there is so much information constantly flying by - meditation is the antidote.
.3 Nature: On your lunch break take your shoes off and sit barefoot on the grass, play with your kids outside (right now my family's go-to sport to play together is volleyball - so fun!), take long walks in the woods or by water or both! The perspective nature gives us is timeless - she's always there for us, through thick and thin and all of life's ups and downs. Her lessons are cyclical, healing, and wise. Tap in to them today :)
.4 Laugh More: laughing is magic. Kids laughter is even more magical. How can you laugh more? Who can you spend time with that brings out your laughter and light heartedness? What activities in your life bring out your laughter? Be intentional with setting up your life for maximum laughter :) This is one of my favourite things about my partner - I can take myself too seriously sometimes and he makes me laugh!
.5 Surround yourself with meaningful things: like Marie Condo says 'if it doesn't bring you joy or is useful, get rid of it' - that's a spiritual rule of thumb, for sure. Photos of loved ones, treasures you've found on your travels, heartfelt gifts you've received, plants, to just name a few. Use your imagination and have fun!
Try one of these at a time and experiment with it over the course of a week or two, and then decide whether you'll keep it or not or what frequency works for you! The answers are always within you - you can create a life you love with a little intention and encouragement :)
Wishing you all the best,
Lisa xo
